Electi Consulting (EC) and the Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute (CMMI) signed on the 16th of December 2020, a Memorandum of Understanding.
During the signing ceremony of the Memorandum, the Managing Director of EC, Dr Theodosis Mourouzis highlighted that “Cyprus is traditionally a shipping hub. The Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute (CMMI) as an independent, international, scientific and business Centre of Excellence for marine and maritime research, technological development and innovation will bridge the gap between the R&D and shipping sectors. As Electi we are excited to collaborate with CMMI to provide our expertise with emerging technologies such as Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence (AI).”
The CEO of CMMI, Zacharias Siokouros expressed his satisfaction for the signing of the MOU and highlighted the fact that Electi combines expertise in the cutting-edge areas of AI, Blockchain, and Cryptography and, thus, a unique capability to support the CMMI’s efforts. He specifically stated that: “The collaboration with Electi is essential to strengthening the CMMI’s position to develop maritime digitalization solutions, a brand that will attract digital talent, and it’s status as a partner of choice in matters of maritime digitalization”.
