The Conference was organized in the frame of the MENTOR project. Speakers from Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Jordan, Lebanon, Romania and Turkey have been invited to present their experiences and views regarding Maritime Education and Blue Careers in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Black Sea. Mr. Kostas Iacovou, General Secreatary of the Ministry of Shipping opened the Conference, while Prof. Ioannis Giapintzakis, Vice-Rector for Int. Affairs, Finance & Administration, Univ. of Cyprus and Mr. Alexandros Josephides, CSC Deputy Director General & IMO Goodwill Maritime Ambassador, greeted also the participants.
