Lynceus Project Wins Lloyds Award For Innovation

The “Lynceus” project was carried out in cooperation with European SMEs (small and medium entities) and RTDs (research and technology developers). The objective of the project is to develop a low cost and robust technology for localizing each individual passenger or crewmember onboard or in the water during emergencies, thus maximizing the probability of timely rescue and minimizing loss of life.

The project will be completed in March 2015 with a demonstration to the Project officer of the European Union, whose funds made this innovative breakthrough a reality.L

After March 2015, the project will enter its second phase as “Lynceus 2,” an improved version of “Lynceus.”
